A simple one. Typical from Madrid and perfect with a cold beer. For me, a delicacy.

I am not sure if there is a proper translation in english for Bocadillo. If there is one please let me know.

Ingredients (for 2)

  • 2 clean squids.
  • 2 Baguette type bread.
  • Flour.
  • Salt.
  • Sunflower Oil.
  • A very cold beer (optional).

Preparation 

Cut the squids in rings. Add salt. Bater them in flour. The easiest and cleanest way is to put the flour and the squid rings in a tupper, close the lid and shake.

Put a pan with sunflower oil(around 300 ml.) at high heat. When the oil gets very hot, fry the squid rings until golden and crispy. Place them in a plate with a paper kitchen towel to get rid of the oil excess.

Open the bread. Place the squid rings and a few drops of lemon juice. Open your beer and feel in heaven.
